Candy Birch, of League of Women Voters, to speak on six Amendment proposals to Florida Constitution

by Jay Whitehead, President, Florida Free Speech Forum

We hope everyone made it through the storm safely. We hope you will join members of the Florida Free Speech Forum for our Oct. 14 meeting, full of important information just in time for the upcoming election. We will again be meeting at the Institute of Culinary Arts at Eastside High School at our usual time, 11:30am.

Our speaker this month will be Candy Birch with The League of Women Voters of Alachua County. She will discuss the six Amendment proposals to the Florida Constitution that will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot.

Here’s how to drive there:

Go east on East University Avenue, past the Cone Park Library, and turn right onto SE 43rd Street (just after the Sunoco Gas Station), drive less than a mile south and turn left into the main entrance of Eastside High School (big sign and guard house). Tell them you are attending the “Free Speech Forum.” At the first fork, turn right into the Teachers Parking Lot.  Park and walk back across the road and to the Culinary Building (signs will be posted).

While you’re at it, please consider helping the FFSF by renewing (or begin) your membership. Better still, become a patron or sponsor!  Thanks.
