The Free UF coalition, a coalition of students, staff, and faculty fighting against censorship at the University of Florida, is hosting a teach-in on Wednesday, March 23 at the Plaza of Americas.
Professors, librarians, staff, and students will be discussing their experiences with censorship at UF, the value of academic freedom, the history of censorship and the fight for academic freedom at UF, and more.
The event is sponsored by members of the Free UF Coalition: the United Faculty of Florida, United Campus Workers, Young Democratic Socialists of America, and College Democrats.
Everyone is invited, including alumni, retired faculty/staff, and concerned members of the local community. Live music and refreshments will be provided.
